Growing Food from Scraps
If you ever find yourself with a root available, such as a head of lettuce, celery, or other plants, you can regrow it. Just keep the bottom of that plant and put it in a shallow dish of water, and watch it grow! make sure you replace the water frequently so it doesn't get slimy. In this picture, I started regrowing lettuce from a head that we bought at the store. After we ate all of the lettuce, we put it in the water and it grew so fast! it even developed its own roots!
